San Francisco's historic Red and White Fleet welcomes youth and school groups aboard its fun and educational bay cruises. Whether you are planning an educational fieldtrip, a summer outing or gr5aduation event, our bay cruises offer an entertaining and enriching experience.

Field Trips

The Red and White Fleet offers several educational opportunities for field trips to schools at discounted rates:

Golden Gate Bay Cruise: San Francisco's original sightseeing adventure! A one-hour narrated cruise highlighting important points of San Francisco History. Amongst others, this includes life at the Barbary Coast during the Gold Rush, the building of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island's history as an immigration station, and the Federal Penitentiary of Alcatraz.

Bridge 2 Bridge Cruise: A breath-taking 90-minute cruise with a focus on San Francisco's natural history, Native American culture, and architecture. On route, sail under both spans of the massive Bay Bridge, see Alcatraz and cheer the crowds, as you sail next to AT&T Park - home to the San Francisco Giants baseball team.

Located right next to the Red and White Fleet are several other interesting historical sites, including the World War II Submarine USS Pampanito and the World War II Liberty Ship Jeremiah O Brien, as well as the intriguing Musee Mechanique with its extraordinary arcade machines.

Hungry? Upon request, we can arrange for boxed-luncheons aboard your cruise. It includes a sandwich, a seasonal salad, a bag of chips, and a cookie. Other snacks, beverages and souvenirs are available for sale aboard Red and White's cruises.

If you are looking for a fun and safe venue to entertain youth groups, the Red and White Fleet is just the right place.

California Sunset Cruise: Come onboard this relaxed 2-hr appetizer cruise and enjoy spectacular sunset views of San Francisco Bay. The cruise includes narratives and live guitar music.

Graduation Events: Be part of a San Francisco tradition by hosting your graduation aboard the Red and White Fleet! For many decades, graduating classes from around the Bay Area have chosen to host their events aboard the Red and White Fleet in an unbeatable setting - San Francisco Bay! We offer a safe, alcohol-free environment, great catering, spectacular city views, and a variety of entertainment options such as DJs, to make your event a success.

Group Sizes: Our boats can accommodate groups of about 300 students each. For larger groups, we can easily arrange multiple sailings. Our largest youth group so far was 2,100 girl scouts in one day!
